We had a very nice day on the lake on January 6th. The temperature was -22ºc but the sun was stunning and we decided to go outdoors and have an adventure. I hope you Enjoy this video and have fun like we did. The only difference is that you will not be freezing your but like we did!

In Finland is a tradition to go back to your parents or to your grandmother's house in the countryside to spend Christmas, there you will have a peaceful time away from all the city noise and have a good time enjoying the nature.
So, our friend Eve from the Blog "The Full Teaspoon Club" came to visit us at home and we got the chance of making Gingerbread with an experienced backer. We had so much fun making the gingerbread and decorating it, and the recipe we got from Eve to make orange flavored gingerbread was delicious.
We also got to learn some tricks to make the most out of our gingerbread like making a hole when they are still warm to make little Christmas decorations afterwards. Andy was with us too and she made us laugh a lot with her stories and jokes about little chickens.
We also learned how to make our own decoration tools from baking paper so you don't have to spend tons of money in decoration stuff. This was a great experience for us. The third thing we learned was to make the icing for the decoration using Lemon or Lime; I have always used water or milk but using Lemon makes the icing sugar taste very good.

"Silence is Gold". Pikku Tani loves the nature and likes to walk and explore Finnish forest. She likes Sauna and swimming on the lake. Her Favorite food is Porkkanalaatikko, riisipiirakka and hernekeitto while her favorite sweet food is Pulla (Sweet Bun). She loves to be friend with Finnish people all the time, although sometimes she don't understand some things about them she likes to be with them to learn all about their culture.
I really Love this time of the year! and you can probably tell by the way I scream and get exited every time I talk about Christmas! But somehow despite the cold weather and the dark days, I feel that Christmas is one of the warmer seasons when people gets together, there is love all around us and everybody's hearts are open to the joy of Christmas.
Like I mention on the video, the Christmas season is very different in Finland and in Mexico and that is one of the reasons why I enjoy traveling in this time of the year, because you get to notice the different faces of Christmas all around the world. During the last 5 years I have spent Christmas in Finland and I can tell that it has been a wonderful experience but nothing is so wonderful if you don't share with the ones you love, that's why I wish that this Christmas all of you will enjoy and celebrate the time with your families and friends and have a Merry Merry Christmas!
Joulutorttu is a FinnishChristmas pastry. It is traditionally made from puff pastry in the shape of a star or pinwheel and filled with prunejam and often dusted with icing sugar. The pastries can be in other shapes too, I have seen Joulutorttu shaped like a dog face or like angels so you can really just be creative, you can also use apple jam in place of the prune jam and it teste delicious.

Glögi is a traditional drink during winter, especially around Christmas, It is served hot or warm and may be alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic versions of glögi can be bought ready-made or prepared with fruit juices instead of wine. Glögi is generally served with raisins, blanched almonds Joulutorttu or Ginger biscuits.

The time has come when every day gets darker and darker, the leaves have left the trees and only the nude skeletons remain to make us feel like in a Halloween dream. Not that it scares me to go out during this days or something... I am just simply saying!
This is the time when must of us get depressed or we are just exhausted all day. Therefore I I made a small video for you guys so you will cheer up and to give a remainder for all the things you need to have before the REAL winter strikes.
